HOW TO USE YOUR OWL MEMBERSHIP
How to Create an Account
STAAR Surgical and OWL have partnered together to continue to promote and develop diverse leadership and to provide professional and personal development opportunities. This partnership provides great membership opportunities for STAAR Surgical employees. Join us as we advance diversity in leadership!
A Professional membership is great for employees that may want to attend OWL events at our local chapters, at major conferences like AAO or ASCRS, or participate in the organization at a higher level. OWL events provide a great opportunity for networking and collaboration with colleagues. Professional members also have access to free online resources and programs for professional and personal development, and access to OWL’s membership directory for networking purposes, including:
- Electronic subscription to “Empower”, the OWL magazine
- OWL Mentoring (Fellows Program)
- Other online programs
STAAR Surgical employees are also eligible for a discount on OWL’s “Champion” level memberships! Champion memberships, which indicate the highest level of support to OWL and are normally $490 in annual dues, will be offered at the discounted rate of $190 for the first year or renewable for the length of the STAAR/OWL partnership.
Champion members are industry professionals at the senior manager level and above. They actively recruit new OWL members, contribute significantly in OWL by attendance, and leadership at Board or Committee levels, are key in driving OWL’s Mission forward. These members are advocates and champions of the OWL Mission, Vision and Values; they are ophthalmic thought leaders; they are leaders in their organizations in alignment with OWL’s mission.
