Dr. Elizabeth Yeu to Deliver Keynote at OWL’s Signature Event at AAO 2016
OWL to Honor Recipients of the 2016 OWL Awards
Kansas City, MO – October 4, 2016– OWL, an association of interdisciplinary ophthalmic professionals dedicated to driving innovation and patient care by advancing diversity in leadership, today announced that Elizabeth Yeu, MD, a nationally recognized leader and influential ophthalmologist and educator, will be the keynote speaker at OWL’s annual Signature Event. The event will take place on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 5:30-7:00 PM at The Hyatt McCormick Place Chicago, Illinois, during AAO 2016, the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO).
Dr. Yeu practices at Virginia Eye Consultants where she specializes in both cornea and cataract surgery, including diagnosing and providing advanced treatment options for keratoconus and dry eye disease, surgical management of astigmatism, laser cataract surgery and complex lens-based surgery. Additionally, Dr. Yeu, is actively involved in clinical research of new technologies and therapies to enhance overall vision and ocular health.

Then OWL will announce the recipients of the OWL Awards, which include the Visionary Award, sponsored by Ziemer, the Catalyst Award, sponsored by AcuFocus and the Rising Star Award, sponsored by Link Consulting. The awards are given to those who best exemplify OWL’s core values and vision. The awards will be followed by a networking reception to celebrate this year’s recipients.
In addition to Sunday’s Signature Event, OWL’s Interest Groups will host, OWL at AAO – Meaningful Networking at a Large Conference, on Saturday, October 15th at the Hyatt McCormick Place, Room CC21A from 4:00 – 5:00 PM. Attendees will hear tips and advice from OWL’s networking masters on how to gain the most benefit from attending a large conference.
