About Lauren P. Silvernail:


Lauren P. Silvernail is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Vice President of Corporate Development at ISTA Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a publicly traded ophthalmic pharmaceutical company based in Irvine, California (NASDAQ: ISTA). Since joining ISTA in 2003, Mrs. Silvernail has been the key architect of the company’s growth and financing plans, which have changed ISTA from a development stage organization to the third largest branded ophthalmic pharmaceutical company in the U.S., with over 330 employees and 2011 sales of $160 million.

As ISTA’s CFO, Mrs. Silvernail led the company’s financing efforts, successfully securing over $250 million in debt and equity from public and private sources to finance the growth of the company. Mrs. Silvernail has built ISTA’s finance team by recruiting an experienced team of finance, accounting, business development, treasury, risk management and investor and public relations professionals. During her tenure, Mrs. Silvernail and her team have developed and executed on the company’s annual strategic plan, including completing transactions that added six new product candidates to ISTA’s development pipeline. Most recently, Mrs. Silvernail and her team led a strategic exploration process which culminated in the March 2012 announcement of the acquisition of ISTA by Bausch + Lomb for approximately $500 million.
